Quantum-AI startup will co-lead workshops, hackathons, and networking programming as part of IBM’s global quantum computing education initiative
(NEW YORK) — Quantum Meow, a quantum-AI research and infrastructure company, today announced it has been selected as Lead Collaborator for Qiskit Fall Fest 2026 at Columbia University, part of IBM Quantum’s worldwide series of academic-led quantum computing events.
Qiskit Fall Fest is IBM Quantum’s annual global program that brings together students, educators, and researchers on university campuses for hands-on workshops, speaker series, and hackathons built around Qiskit, IBM’s open-source quantum software development kit. This year’s edition marks ten years since IBM introduced the world’s first open-access quantum computer on the cloud, a milestone that helped transform quantum computing from a niche research pursuit into a rapidly growing global ecosystem of developers, enterprises, and academic institutions.
Quantum Meow’s selection builds on its status as an IBM Partner Plus member. Partner Plus is IBM’s ecosystem program for companies that build, sell, or service IBM technology, offering participants access to IBM’s technical resources, engineering collaboration, and go-to-market support across its hybrid cloud and quantum computing portfolio that include tools for developing on IBM’s fleet of utility-scale quantum systems.
As Lead Collaborator, Quantum Meow will help organize and staff the Columbia chapter of Fall Fest, including:
- Providing on-the-ground coverage and technical support throughout the festival
- Hosting networking events connecting participants with academic researchers, Wall Street firms, and venture capital investors focused on the growing quantum computing sector
- Running team hackathons for students building on Qiskit
The event will also serve as a recruiting pipeline for Quantum Meow, which is building out its open source engineering team of quantum and AI developers for its Hybrid Quantum-AI Orchestration Platform. The platform is expected to introduce a Model Context Protocol (MCP) framework using $QMEOW access token as sort of software license to connect agents to our global quantum network.
